Lara Branca has multifaceted experience in the visual and performing arts which forms her vibrant personal vision in oil paint.
Her professional artistic skills besides painting include custom couture constuction of garments and flamenco costume, and also guitar and song. Branca belives her varied skills as person lends to an integrated aesthetic and sensitivity as a painter.
Branca's professional artistic training includes graduating with a BA in Fine Art with honors from Fort Lewis College in Durango CO. Here she recieved Best in Show for her Drawing in the Spring show of 2000.
She has had solo exhibitions in Homer, Alaska in 1997, the PCPA International Flamenco Festival, Portland OR in 2007, and at Sideshow Emporium & Gallery in Colorado in January 2010. She is preparing for a solo painting show at Desert Pearl Gallery, Cortez, CO in May 2011.
She also has extensive pre-professional training in flamenco dance fron the Flamenco Arts Academy in Portland, OR. Her travels through Andalucia, Italy, Crete, France and the rural western US are experiences she considers essential to her development as an artist and person.
